Occupational Safety and Health management activities have 2 main focuses.

  4. Emergency training through the involvement of the local community


PTTBP performs regular health checks and implements precautionary safety measures to ensure a safe working environment. All business units have implemented Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems according to the main risks of operational processes. All employees and mining activities carried out by PTTBP, and its contractors (by contractual agreement) must abide by our safety guidelines.

PTTBP performs Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Job Safety Analyses to identify risks, develop mitigation plans and create health & safety performance plans & targets for all its operational areas and activities. To ensure workplace safety, the mitigation and performance plans are updated on a regular basis. Risk assessments are also used to inform PTTBP’s emergency preparedness procedures, which outline emergency procedures for each part of our operations. Moreover, we communicate emergency procedures to our employees, contractors and the local community, and provide training that involves relevant stakeholders. 

Aside from improving the company’s management system, PTTBP focuses on developing the skills of its employees and contractors through regular operational health and safety training activities.

PTTBP provides clinic facilities on-site that operate 24 hours a day. These clinics are staffed with doctors and other health practitioners including midwifes, nurses, pharmacists, healthcare analysts, administrative staff, and ambulance staff.
