Social harmony and cultural preservation make life more meaningful. At Obi Island, we participate in social and cultural activities of the community; foster togetherness and tolerance. We are an inseparable part of the South Halmahera community, especially Kawasi Village.
When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, we took part in tackling the spread of the virus in South Halmahera. We provide personal protective equipment (PPE), vitamins, medicines, ventilators, PCR test kits, and intensify vaccinations. We also provide transportation for patients and provide basic food assistance to reduce the burden on the community during the pandemic. We also support various celebrations of religious holidays and providing worship facilities and infrastructure. Not only that, we also accompany the community in cultural activities such as developing dance and local martial arts, as well as supporting annual cultural performances.
