Jakarta, May 31, 2024 - PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL) or Harita Nickel, an integrated and sustainable nickel mining and processing company, has received two awards at the TOP CSR Awards 2024 ceremony held at the Raffles Jakarta Hotel on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. Harita Nickel, operating on Obi Island, North Maluku, received the TOP CSR Award with a 4-star rating and the TOP Leader on CSR Commitment 2024, presented to the President Director of Harita Nickel, Roy A. Arfandy.
Achmad Daniri, chairman of the TOP CSR Awards 2024 Jury, stated that the awards were given after a series of assessments consisting of five main criteria. The award for the Top Leader on CSR Commitment 2024 category is given to appreciate the company leadership's commitment to CSR programs.
"This is an award given to company leaders assessed to have a high commitment to supporting CSR policies and implementation in their companies," said Daniri.
On this occasion, Harita Nickel's Head of External Relations, Latif Supriadi, conveyed that both awards are tangible evidence of the company's commitment to developing and implementing innovative CSR programs. Latif added that Harita Nickel's presence on Obi Island, North Maluku, opens opportunities for the community to grow together.
"This is why we are committed to empowering the local community by involving them as integral partners in our supply chain. By empowering and engaging the community as local suppliers, we create a strong bond between business sustainability and local economic growth," said Latif after receiving the award.
Latif cited one of the economic development programs, the Independence and Empowerment Movement for Village Entrepreneurs (Gemar Papeda). Through this program, 65 local suppliers and 26 farmer groups have been nurtured, leading to the creation of 691 jobs. The company's monthly transaction value from local suppliers reached Rp 13 billion.
Meanwhile, in his speech, the chairman of the TOP CSR Awards 2024 organizers, M. Lutfi Handayani, expressed that these awards contain many shared learning processes to enhance the quality and effectiveness of company CSR. This year, 190 registered companies attended the event, with 152 companies undergoing complete assessments.
The TOP CSR Awards 2024 event is organized by Top Business Magazine in collaboration with several leading institutions in Indonesia, including the Indonesian Governance Professionals Association (PaGI), the Indonesian CSR Association, Corebest (CSR Consultant & Training Institute), Interdev (CSR Consultant & Training Institute), LKN (Nawacita Study Institute), PAKEM (Microfinance Development Foundation), SDP (PT Sinergi Daya Prima/GCG Consultant), and Solusi Kinerja Bisnis (SKB).
