Bisnis.com, JAKARTA - Nickel mining company under Harita Group, PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk. (NCKL), will distribute a cash dividend amounting to 30 percent of its total net profit in 2022 or around Rp 1.4 trillion. This action has obtained approval from the company's shareholders who attended the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS) held in Jakarta on Wednesday (28/06/2023).

In accordance with the prevailing capital market regulations, dividend payments will be made no later than 30 days after the announcement of the AGM results, with the schedule and procedures to be announced soon.

In 2022, NCKL recorded a net profit of Rp4.7 trillion, which increase of 137.1 percent compared to Rp2.0 trillion in the previous year. The profit was achieved through an increase in operating revenue in 2022 to Rp9.6 trillion, up 16.3 percent from Rp8.2 trillion in 2021.

The increase in the company's revenue was largely contributed by the increase in volume from the company and its subsidiaries.

NCKL's President Director, Roy A. Arfandy, stated that the company is committed to continuously supporting the government's program to advance the nickel industry from upstream to downstream.

"The company will continue to invest in and develop production facilities that can increase the volume and added value of the products. To achieve this, the company will maintain a healthy and strong financial position to anticipate future working capital needs," said Roy in a press statement on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

Furthermore, Roy emphasized that NCKL will continue to collaborate with partners to transfer technology and enhance the skills of its human resources.

On the sustainibility, Roy stated, "The company is committed to pursuing sustainable integration within its business processes, engaging and developing local communities, as well as considering environmental factors. The five main areas of focus for community development programs are health, education, economy, social aspects, and infrastructure," he said.

During the AGM, NCKL also obtained shareholder's approval for the Annual Report, Audited Consolidated Financial Statements of the Company and its Subsidiaries, as well as the Report on the Supervisory Duties of the Board of Commissioners during the 2022 fiscal year.

In addition to the distribution of dividends amounting to Rp1.4 trillion, the shareholders also approved the utilization of NCKL's earnings for the 2022 fiscal year as a reserve fund of 0.17 percent or Rp8 billion, interim dividends, and the remaining amount recorded as retained earnings to support the company's operational activities and development.

During the same event, NCKL also presented to the shareholders the report on the utilization of funds from the Initial Public Offering (IPO) amounting to Rp9.9 trillion.

The realized funds amount to Rp5.8 trillion, while the funds disbursed for the implementation of the Public Offering amount to Rp258 billion.

Part of the funds has been used according to the planned utilization stated in the prospectus, which includes debt repayment, loans, capital expenditure, and equity contributions to associate entities.

Another agenda in this Annual General Meeting of Shareholders is granting authority to the Board of Commissioners to appoint a Registered Public Accounting Firm to audit the Company's Financial Statements for the fiscal year ending on December 31, 2023, as well as determining the salaries and/or honorariums of the members of the Board of Commissioners and the members of the Board of Directors of the Company.
