3 NCKL Entity Companies Obtained K3 Awards from Ministry of Manpower

JAKARTA, Investor.id - Three companies under PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL) or Harita Nickel entity have successfully obtained the Gold Certificate, which the highest Occupational Health and Safety (K3) award, from the Ministry of Manpower Republic Indonesia (Kemnaker) with a satisfactory rating. Those three company are PT Megah Surya Pertiwi (MSP), PT Halmahera Persada Lygend (HPL), and PT Halmahera Jaya Feronikel (HJF).

The K3 award is given to companies that have successfully implemented the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3). This award is also a recognition from the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemnaker) for for the company's dedication and hard work to provide a safe and healthy working environment for its employees.

In her speech, the Ministry of Manpower, Ida Fauziyah, stated that Occupational Safety, and Health (OSH) must become a concern and priority for the workforce in Indonesia. She also added that the number of companies maintaining zero accidents each year has been increasing.

"We hope that the achievement of this K3 award can motivate other company leaders to maintain K3 performance, as K3 is an investment to ensure business sustainability and achieve company productivity," said Ida Fauziyah.

MSP, HPL, and HJF are the first nickel processing plants in North Maluku that obtain SMK3 Certification. The results of the Independent Audit Institution's audit show an achievement of 85.93% (MSP), 87.5% (HPL), and the highest score of 89.6% for HJF. This excellent K3 performance demonstrates the high commitment of these companies to implementing SMK3 in the workplace. This achievement is possible due to the involvement of all workers in K3 activities, compliance with regulations and K3 requirements, and adherence to applicable procedures and standards within the companies.

Regarding this achievement, Tonny H. Gultom, Director of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) at NCKL, expressed, "We would like to thank the Ministry of Manpower Republic Indonesia (Kemnaker) for this award, as well as all parties who have provided support and made important contributions to our journey. This is a recognition of the dedication, commitment, and hard work of the Harita team in achieving high occupational health and safety standards, as it is our top priority.
