Welcoming the joy of Christmas, Harita Nickel employees in all business units celebrated Pre-Christmas with full solemnity and togetherness. This event was held alternately on Obi Island, starting from the PT Halmahera Persada Lygend (HPL), Obi Nickel Cobalt (ONC) and Dharma Cipta Mulia (DCM) groups on December 1, 2024, followed by PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (TBP) on December 6, 2024, PT Halmahera Jaya Feronikel (HJF), Karunia Permai Sentosa (KPS) and Obi Sinar Timur (OST) groups, on December 7, 2024, and PT Megah Surya Pertiwi (MSP) on December 8, 2024.
TBP Mine Plan Engineering Manager, Das Anton, explained, “In accordance with the theme of Christmas this year, let us return to Bethlehem to meet Jesus Christ, and continue to improve ourselves better, and make Christmas to bring a message of peace to all people, regardless of religion and ethnicity.” Every Pre-Christmas celebration at the Obi site is filled with various spiritual activities, ranging from hymns, prayers and Christmas reflections that bring profound meaning to all participants.
Different from the previous year event, this year's Pre-Christmas celebrations at the HPL, ONC and DCM groups featured a musical drama, which was fully performed by Harita's employees in these business units. “The setting is based on a story of the birth of the Redeemer in Bethlehem, followed by spiritual songs. The hope is to bring new colors, and strengthen the faith of employees who are devoted to the celebration,” said Hyuda Widiyantoro, Chairman of the Pre-Christmas Celebration Committee of HPL, ONC and DCM.
Different at HPL, the same at HJF. Chairman of the Pre-Christmas Celebration Committee at the pyrometallurgical business unit, Gilberth Tambunan, explained that this year's celebration reflected the peace of worshipping with family at home. “The atmosphere we build is like worshipping at church in our home. Starting from the solemn liturgy, to eating with Insan Harita at the end of the service. Hopefully a little treats Insan Harita's longing to celebrate Christmas with family at home,” he said.
In addition, this moment is also used to strengthen relationships between employees, creating an atmosphere of harmony in the midst of the company's hectic operations. Dian Kristiyanto, as Manager of Technical Support HPL and ONC, gave an inspirational message, “Let's make Christmas not just a ceremony of tradition, but a moment to renew our commitment as part of Harita Nickel, to support each other, work with integrity, and build an atmosphere of love and peace, as God exemplifies.”
This message is a reminder for all Harita Nickel employees to continue to prioritize the values of love, peace and integrity in every aspect of work and daily life.
This Pre-Christmas celebration is not only a moment to commemorate the birth of the Savior, but also an opportunity to strengthen the spirit of togetherness and kinship among employees. “With the spirit of Christmas, Insan Harita hopes to continue to make a positive contribution to the community and the environment around our operational areas. Merry Christmas and Let's Look Forward to a Blessed Year 2025!” said the Chairman of MSP's Pre-Christmas Committee, Bintang Siahaan, enthusiastically.
