The Water Supply Production Team at the Water Intake and Marine Environment of PT Halmahera Persada Lygend (HPAL) successfully carried out a cleaning activity of the High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Water Intake pipe screenbar. This activity was carried out in response to a recent decrease in water discharge into the water intake.
To overcome this problem, the team quickly dived to the water intake location. Diving was done to clean the screenbar from marine growth as well as dirt. This is done carefully to ensure that water discharge into the water intake can return to normal and function optimally.
Cleaning activities lasted for approximately 6 days starting on Monday, July 10, 2023 and ended on Saturday, July 15, 2023.
