The launch of a program to build and rehabilitate 1,200 substandard homes (RTLH) by the North Maluku Provincial Government in 2026 marks a growing focus on the quality of housing for the community. This program is part of the local government’s efforts to improve residents’ well-being through safer, healthier, and more livable living environments.
An illustration of how this vision can be realized is also evident in various other initiatives at the local level, one of which is the development of a new settlement in Kawasi Village, initiated by the South Halmahera Regency Government with support from Harita Nickel, which serves as an example of a collaborative approach in creating a settlement that support the growth and development of the next generation.

The development of the Kawasi Village New Residential Area on Obi Island is considered to have met the parameters of an ideal modern city. Rais D. Hi. Yusuf, a lecturer in engineering at the University of Muhammadiyah North Maluku (UMMU), stated that the Kawasi New Residential Area has implemented the three main principles of an inclusive city: livable, smart, and sustainable.
According to Rais, an inclusive city must provide equal access to public services and economic opportunities for all residents regardless of their background. “The Kawasi Village New Residential Area was designed using a human-centered design approach, where the development of basic infrastructure, social facilities, and public services is focused entirely on human needs and well-being,” he explained.
One of the standout technical aspects of this project is the use of industrial waste in the form of nickel slag as a substitute for coarse aggregate in concrete mixes. Rais explained that the use of nickel slag from Harita Nickel’s refining facility on Obi Island represents a concrete step toward an environmentally friendly construction industry. When applied to permanent housing and neighborhood roads, this material results in sturdy, more durable and resilient structures.
“Nickel slag has dense angular particles and chemical components such as silica and lime that support the cement hydration process. As a result, the concrete produced is of higher quality, more durable, and significantly reduces reliance on natural aggregates,” explained this Master of Urban Design graduate from Gadjah Mada University (UGM).
From a spatial planning perspective, Rais highlighted the implementation of the mixed-use and diverse city concept in the Kawasi Village New Settlement. This concept integrates various functional activities, including residential areas, commercial zones, public facilities, and green open spaces, into a single integrated area.
He added that, based on the aspects and criteria outlined in Ministry of Public Works Regulation No. 2 of 2016, the Kawasi New Settlement has met the criteria for an Eco-Settlement (Ecological Settlement).
“The Kawasi area is not just an ordinary settlement, but a concrete example of how social, economic, and ecological aspects are balanced. This can serve as a benchmark for the planning and design of urban residential areas in other regions, particularly in industrial zones,” concluded Rais.
Rais’s explanation as an academic aligns with the experiences of residents who have been living in the Kawasi Village New Settlement. One of them is Yunince, who said the new settlement offers a cleaner and more comfortable environment compared to her previous home.
“When it rains, it doesn’t get muddy; when it’s hot, it isn’t dusty. Here, we have electricity and water 24 hours a day. We also use air conditioning here,” said Yunince.
Nur Eneng Rahmat (33) expressed similar sentiments, noting a significant improvement in comfort and tranquility in the Kawasi New Settlement. Moreover, Nur Eneng pointed out that the New Settlement has opened up economic opportunities for residents. She herself runs a business selling groceries and vegetables.
“My daily revenue is around 1–2 million rupiah. In the New Settlement of Kawasi Village, economic opportunities are wide open for me. Life here is also more organized; I see my neighbors more often, and religious activities are thriving,” she said.
In Obi, improvements in housing quality are gradually changing how the community views the future. A more organized environment fosters healthier social interactions, while adequate basic facilities help families navigate their daily lives with greater peace of mind.

Kawasi’s New Settlement Serves as a Model for Inclusive and Sustainable Housing in North Maluku

The 7.6-magnitude earthquake that struck Ternate City and the surrounding area last Thursday (April 2) caused damage to residential areas and prompted affected residents to evacuate to various locations, particularly in outlying areas such as Batang Dua District.
In response to this situation, through its Harita Nickel Peduli program, the company has distributed humanitarian aid as part of the company’s initial response, focusing on areas that have been significantly affected and face logistical challenges.
The handover of the relief supplies took place at the Main Disaster Command Post at the former Ternate Mayor’s Office on Sunday, April 5. The supplies were handed over by Dedi Hermansyah, Head of the Ternate Representative Office of Harita Nickel, accompanied by Setyo Budi Lestari, Government Relations &amp; Compliance Superintendent, and received by Rizal Marsaoly, Secretary of Ternate City.
The aid distributed includes tarps, mattresses, rice, instant noodles, blankets, and medicines, which were delivered through the Main Command Post to support temporary housing needs, daily logistics, and health services for affected residents. The distribution was carried out in coordination with the Main Disaster Command Post to ensure it followed the mechanisms established by the government.
Dedi Hermansyah, Head of Harita Nickel’s Ternate Representative Office, stated that the company’s presence in North Maluku also entails a social responsibility to be there during emergencies. “Harita Nickel is part of North Maluku. We share the grief felt by the residents. We hope this assistance can help ease the burden on the affected communities, particularly in Batang Dua,” said Dedi.
He hopes that the affected residents can quickly recover mentally and resume their normal activities. “May they be granted resilience and patience in facing this trial,” concluded Dedi.
The Regional Secretary of Ternate City, Rizal Marsaoly, appreciates Harita Nickel’s initiative. His office also plans to distribute humanitarian aid directly to residents today. “Thank you to Harita Nickel for its concern for the earthquake-affected residents. What has been provided is very helpful, as logistical aid is exactly what the affected residents need right now,” he said.
He also emphasized the importance of synergy between the private sector and the government in dealing with emergency situations like the current one, as such collaboration will alleviate the burden on disaster-affected residents.
Similarly, Robyanto Koloca, the District Head of Batang Dua, also expressed his appreciation for Harita Nickel’s concern. He noted that the situation in the affected areas still requires serious attention from various parties so that the recovery process can proceed more quickly.
“The impact of the earthquake in Batang Dua has been quite significant, affecting both residents’ homes and places of worship. This assistance from Harita Nickel is truly meaningful. We will distribute it to the affected residents as soon as possible. We hope that this kind of collaboration between the government and the private sector will continue to be strong, especially in emergency situations like this,” said Robyanto.

Harita Nickel Provides Logistical Aid  to Earthquake Victims in Ternate

Amid the rapid growth of the mining industry on Obi Island, a movement for food self-sufficiency is taking root under the leadership of Darwan Aduhasan, 33. Through his “Young Farmers” initiative, Darwan is showing that agriculture and mining do not have to compete with one another. Instead, they can work hand in hand to create tangible benefits for local communities.
A communications graduate, Darwan made the bold decision to step away from the conventional office career path and return to farming. At a time when many young people on Obi Island were applying for jobs with mining companies, he chose to lead a farmers’ group in Buton Village and gradually became a key supplier of food for thousands of Harita Nickel employees.
“I saw an enormous agricultural potential here. For 15 years, my family was able to make a living and even finance my education through university purely from horticultural farming. The presence of industry has actually become a catalyst because it has opened access to the market we needed,” said Darwan.&nbsp;
To encourage greater youth participation, Darwan established the PELANGI (the Farmers Upholding the Values of Unity and Mutual Cooperation) farmers’ group. The group is a pioneer in food self-sufficiency in the mining ring area, and its main mission is to challenge the idea that decent work can only be found within company operations.

Organic Revolution and Greater Market Certainty
The partnership between farmers and the company has grown stronger since 2022 through Harita Nickel’s Community Development and Empowerment Program. Starting with just two hectares of land, farmers mentored by Darwan, including the Daun Hijau and Cempaka farmer groups, recorded watermelon yields of 7 to 8 tons per hectare.
In 2024, the collaboration reached a new stage. Harita Nickel supported a full transition to organic farming methods. Through the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility team, farmers received training in producing their own compost and plant-based pesticides. The impact has been significant, with production costs falling sharply.
”With an investment of only IDR 250,000, we managed to harvest 2.75 tons of fully organic watermelon,” said Darwan, who recently received the 2024 Sustainable Village Development Award from the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions, and Transmigration.
All of the harvest is now regularly purchased by Harita Nickel's catering service. This pattern creates a healthy economic ecosystem: the company obtains a supply of fresh and healthy food for its employees, while farmers gain price and market certainty.

Vision for 2026: Expanding Land and Workforce
This success has inspired new optimism. From an initial membership of just 28 people, Darwan is targeting 100 active farmers by 2026, managing rice fields and horticultural land across Obi Island.
“My hope is simple. Through PELANGI, people will come to see that agriculture can provide a decent and sustainable livelihood, even in an area widely known as a mining center,” he concluded.

Supplying Dozens of Tons of Food to Harita Nickel, Obi’s Young Farmers Show That Mining and Agriculture Can Thrive Together

Harita Nickel organized its Ramadan Safari 1447 H in Obi Island, South Halmahera, reaching hundreds of residents through iftar meal distribution, support for orphans, and Eid gift packages.
Held from March 9–14, 2026, the initiative covered villages in the company’s surrounding operational areas as part of efforts to expand social impact while strengthening engagement with local communities.
Harita Nickel’s Community Relations Manager, Riyadi Supriyadi, said the Ramadan Safari serves as a platform for the company to connect more closely with the community. “Through this Ramadan Safari, we aim to share and strengthen our bond with the community, especially orphans and those in need,” he said.

The program began with Ramadan on the Road on March 9–10, 2026, in collaboration with youth groups across five villages in Obi District: Jikotamo, Buton, Laiwui, Akegula, and Baru. Iftar meals were distributed at key community activity points, creating a sense of togetherness while supporting residents on their way home before breaking their fast.
The activities continued with communal iftar gatherings and support for orphans in several villages. At Al-Ikhlas Mosque in Akegula Village, 260 orphans received assistance in the presence of local government representatives, community leaders, and company representatives. In Soligi Village, a similar event was held at Al Baqi Mosque, where 158 orphans received support.
Soligi Village Secretary Wahyudin Hamani expressed appreciation for the initiative. “This support motivates the children to keep learning and pursuing their aspirations,” he said.
Overall, this year’s Ramadan Safari reached three main villages: Akegula, Soligi, and Kawasi, with a total of 463 orphans receiving assistance. In addition, more than 1,100 Eid gift packages were distributed to communities around the operational areas.

Beyond providing aid, the program created meaningful interactions that strengthened social ties between the company and the community. Amid the spirit of Ramadan, this sense of togetherness grew in simple yet meaningful ways.
Through the Ramadan Safari, Harita Nickel reaffirms its role not only as an industrial player but also as part of the social fabric of communities in its surrounding areas.

Harita Nickel Strengthens Community Ties in Mining Areas through Ramadan Safari

Participants of the Youth Skills and Competency Development Program (PELITA) Batch IV undertook both theoretical and practical examinations for the Overhead Crane Operator License (SIO) certification on March 11, 2026. This stage ensures that participants’ technical competencies and understanding of occupational safety meet the operational standards of the high-risk nickel industry.
A total of 40 youths from various villages in South Halmahera Regency, particularly Obi Island, took part in the evaluation after completing an intensive three-month training program. The examinations were supervised by the South Halmahera Regency Manpower Office to ensure that the certification process was conducted in accordance with prevailing regulations.
The Head of the South Halmahera Regency Manpower and Transmigration Office (Disnakertrans), Daud Djubedi, representing the regional government, expressed appreciation and support for the consistent implementation of this vocational program.
“We see this program as providing real access for local youth to gain hands-on experience and technical skills that are relevant to industry needs,” he stated.
During the practical examination, participants were assessed on their ability to operate an overhead crane, including hoisting techniques, cross and long travel movements, as well as risk identification. Ahmad S. Adam, a participant from Bacan, stated that the training had broadened his understanding of safety standards and operational procedures for heavy equipment.
“This training has made us more prepared and confident to work professionally as operators,” he said.
Prior to joining the program, Ahmad worked as a crew member in the furnace area at PT Halmahera Jaya Feronikel, one of Harita Nickel’s business units. He hopes that the skills gained from the training will open up better job opportunities in the future as an overhead crane operator within the company.
Agung Aribowo, Deputy Department Head of Technical Support at Harita Nickel, emphasized that developing local workforce competencies is a key element in supporting the increasingly complex nickel downstream industry.
“The nickel downstream industry upholds high technical and safety standards. Therefore, competency development must be carried out systematically and measurably. Programs like PELITA ensure that we are not only building industrial facilities, but also strengthening human capacity,” said Agung.
He added that downstreaming is not merely about increasing the added value of minerals, but also about transforming the industrial ecosystem, which requires a skilled workforce with strong safety discipline.
Since its launch in 2023, PELITA has been designed based on operational needs to ensure that participants possess technical readiness aligned with production processes in the nickel industrial area. Through this SIO certification, participants are expected to contribute as competent workers while strengthening the role of local human resources within the downstream industry value chain.

Harita Nickel Assesses Local Operator Competency, Prepares Skilled Workforce for the Downstream Industry

OBI ISLAND, South Halmahera – For decades, crossing the Akelamo River has been a challenge for residents of Kawasi and Soligi villages in South Halmahera Regency, especially during strong currents or adverse weather. Today, that land isolation has officially ended with the operation of the Akelamo River Bridge, which has been open since early 2025.
As the largest and longest river on Obi Island, and the only outlet for water from Lake Karo, the Akelamo River plays a central yet challenging role in the region. In the past, the distribution of agricultural produce between Kawasi and Soligi relied on a manually operated pontoon bridge (a simple floating dock) with limited capacity.
The 105-meter-long and 20-meter-wide bridge was built with support from Harita Nickel. This infrastructure not only shortens travel time but is also expected to become a new economic lifeline for communities along the western and southern coasts of Obi Island.
Soligi Village Head, Madaisi La Siriali, recalled how difficult mobility used to be before the bridge existed, particularly for farmers and traders transporting agricultural products. “In the past, residents had to adjust to river currents and weather conditions when crossing. Now the access is safer, faster, and more efficient. It also makes it much easier for residents to reach healthcare and education services,” said Madaisi.

A similar positive impact has been felt by residents of Kawasi Village. Kawasi Village Head, Arifin Saroa, emphasized the importance of the bridge in strengthening economic collaboration between the two villages. “Let’s organize things well so we can sell together. Women traders from Soligi and Kawasi can now work together because land access is finally open,” he said.
The significant infrastructure improvement has also received positive recognition from Telapak Association. Mohammad Djufryhard, Social Assessor of Telapak Association, validated the substantial benefits of the infrastructure built by Harita Nickel.
He shared his experience visiting Obi in 2023, when he still had to cross the river using a pontoon bridge. However, when he returned in 2025, he witnessed firsthand how the new bridge had improved inter-village connectivity and greatly supported the distribution of agricultural and fisheries products.
“For us, this is an added value provided by the company, particularly in infrastructure development that continues to improve each year,” said Djufryhard.

Head of External Relations of Harita Nickel, Latif Supriadi, said the infrastructure development reflects the company’s commitment to encouraging economic growth and improving the quality of life for communities around its operational areas.

Opening Access Between Soligi and Kawasi, Akelamo Bridge Becomes New Economic Lifeline for Obi’s Coastal Communities

Yet, amidst the lingering destruction, hope is beginning to bloom once more. Harita Nickel’s Emergency Response Team (ERT) and medical team arrived on the scene not just to deliver aid, but to offer their strength and their hearts to the affected residents. Through the Harita Nickel Peduli (Harita Nickel Cares) program, the company moved swiftly to answer this humanitarian call.&nbsp;
"Our presence is tangible proof that Harita Nickel is an integral part of the North Maluku community. We want to ensure that the residents' burden feels lighter through the company's direct support,” said Supriyanto Suwarno, Occupational Health and Safety Manager at Harita Nickel.
At the disaster site, watermarks chest-high on house walls stood as silent witnesses to the ordeal faced by the community. However, Harita Nickel team brought a wave of new hope.
Three ERT personnel jumped straight into action. battling the mud alongside residents. They worked tirelessly to clean places of worship, public facilities, and homes, ensuring they were habitable once again.

Simultaneously, Harita Nickel deployed a paramedic team to set up free health services at the Ibu District Health Center (Puskesmas). They treated survivors for various ailments, ranging from fever and skin rashes to physical exhaustion.
Delivering Essentials The support didn’t stop there. The company channeled essential supplies including food packages, mineral water, and urgent needs like sleeping mats through the West Halmahera Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD). According to gathered data, the floods have directly impacted 1,593 individuals across 497 families.
"We are grateful for the aid provided. These supplies will be immediately distributed to flood-impacted residents across seven districts," said Gunawan MT, Chief Executive of BPBD West Halmahera, upon receiving the symbolic handover.

The hard work of Harita's employees was deeply felt on the ground. Ibu District Head, Warjin Hi. Soleman, expressed his appreciation: "The health support and sleeping gear from Harita Nickel are crucial for maintaining the residents' stability during this emergency."
This aid provided strength to residents like Sukarni Siu, a survivor who had to struggle to evacuate her sick husband when the waters struck their home. For Harita Nickel, this effort is part of a continuous commitment to provide tangible benefits and serve as a beacon of optimism for the people of North Maluku.

Harita Nickel Cares for West Halmahera: Restoring Hope through Real Action After the Floods

The Az-Zahra Majlis Taklim (Islamic study group) in Soligi Village, South Obi District, was livelier than usual on Friday afternoon (Feb 20). The enthusiasm of welcoming the holy month of Ramadan blended with the hustle and bustle of dozens of residents crowding Harita Nickel's affordable basic food (sembako) bazaar area.
Among the crowd was Wa Ati. The housewife's face beamed after successfully buying three grocery packages at once. For her, the initiative organized by Harita Nickel is like an oasis amidst the annual routine of rising food prices ahead of the fasting month.
"This is extremely helpful for us residents. We pray that the company's operations run smoothly," Wa Ati said gratefully. Now, she can breathe a sigh of relief as her family's kitchen supplies for Ramadan are well secured.
The enthusiasm of residents like Wa Ati is well-founded. A grocery package worth Rp300,000 could be taken home for just half the price, at Rp150,000. Each package contains essential food items: 5 kg of rice, 2 kg of wheat flour, 2 kg of sugar, 2 liters of cooking oil, and 1 can of condensed milk. Unsurprisingly, within just one hour of opening, hundreds of packages were immediately sold out as residents rushed to buy them.
<h3 dir="ltr">Business Capital from Sales Proceeds</h3>
Interestingly, the afternoon's joy did not solely belong to the buyers securing discounted prices. Behind the committee's bazaar table, Maya, an administrator of the Az-Zahra Majlis Taklim, was equally excited.
The Az-Zahra Majlis Taklim is one of four local partners collaborating with Harita Nickel to organize this bazaar. Besides Az-Zahra, two other majlis taklims and the Soligi Village Family Welfare Empowerment (PKK) group were involved in the event. All proceeds from the grocery package sales are not returned to the company; instead, they are fully granted to these partner groups to serve as their collective business capital.
"Of course, we are also very happy and grateful to the company for providing us with this blessing," Maya expressed with a smile.
Her group successfully sold out their allocated 120 grocery packages, pocketing Rp18 million in fresh funds. "The money we receive will be used for our joint business capital," she added.
<h3 dir="ltr">Synergy Between the Company, Village Government, and Residents</h3>
The affordable bazaar, scheduled to run for four days from February 20 to 23, 2026, provides a total of 480 grocery packages. If all packages are sold out, the sales turnover from the four partners will reach Rp72 million—a significant figure to drive the village's micro-economy.
Harita Nickel's Community Relations Manager, Riyadi Supriadi, explained that the involvement of community elements is designed to make the program's benefits more sustainable. According to him, the affordable bazaar during Ramadan has been an annual routine in the villages surrounding the company's operational area.
"The purpose of this affordable bazaar is to help ease the residents' burden in meeting their basic needs. We involve local partners so that the sales proceeds can be used for collective business capital, thereby fostering the growth of local economic groups in Soligi," Riyadi stated.
This tangible support for food security and women's economic empowerment received full appreciation from the local village government. Soligi Village Head, Madaisi La Siriali, views the program as a clear manifestation of the company's attention to empowerment and economic strengthening.
"We hope that the synergy between the community, the village government, and the company can be continuously strengthened through activities that have a direct impact on the residents," Madaisi concluded.

Soligi Residents Enthusiastically Welcome Harita Nickel's Ramadan Bazaar

The collaboration between Harita Nickel and the South Halmahera Regency Government (Halsel) in strengthening local food security has delivered positive results. The two parties held a large-scale rice harvest covering 12 hectares of paddy fields in Buton Village, Obi District, on Friday (23/1), with projections indicating a significant increase in productivity.
South Halmahera Regent Hasan Ali Bassam Kasuba, who attended and led the harvest, emphasized that this achievement disproves the long-held assumption that the Obi area is unsuitable for rice cultivation.

“What has long been associated with other regions has now been proven possible in Obi and is delivering tangible benefits. This demonstrates strong potential that contributes directly to the local economy,” Regent Bassam stated.
He stressed that synergy between the government, local communities, and the business sector is essential in providing infrastructure and farmer assistance. The regional government, he affirmed, remains committed to supporting the development of paddy farming through strengthening supporting infrastructure, providing agricultural facilities and equipment, and offering continuous assistance to farmers to improve productivity.
<h3>Sharp Increase in Productivity</h3>
Prior to the harvest, crop sampling (ubinan) was conducted by the Obi District Agricultural Extension Center (BPP) together with farmers and the Harita Nickel Community Development team. The results showed a productivity level of 8 tons per hectare.
Acting Head of the South Halmahera Agriculture Office, Suyatmi Aljogja, presented encouraging data on the yield increase. Based on information from farmers, production more than doubled compared to the previous planting season. She noted that the yield exceeded the national average, which typically stands at around 5 tons per hectare.
“The development potential remains very large, considering that Buton Village has up to 100 hectares of paddy fields that have not yet been optimally cultivated,” Suyatmi explained.
According to her, these achievements were made possible through collaboration with the company, adequate technical assistance, effective use of production inputs, and improvements in farmers’ capacity.

In addition, the South Halmahera Regency Government provided rice threshing machines to improve post-harvest efficiency.
<h3>Sustainable Agriculture</h3>
This increase in productivity was also supported by Harita Nickel through its Obi Food Security Center program (SENTANI). Harita Nickel’s Community Development Superintendent, Suryo Aji, explained that the program involves 28 active members from two farmer groups—Akemoriri and Batu Putih—along with the Obi Millennial Cooperative and the Buton Village Government.

“This harvest is proof of the farmers’ perseverance and hard work. The establishment of the Millennial Farmer Group represents hope and regeneration, while the initial planting symbolizes the future of sustainable agriculture. We believe cross-sector collaboration will position agriculture as a driver of sustainable welfare,” he said.
As a strategic step to ensure sustainability, the Millennial Farmer Group was also officially inaugurated. A total of 17 young people from Buton, Jikotamo, and Akegula villages were appointed to become the driving force of farmer regeneration on Obi Island.
The harvest event concluded with a joint harvesting ceremony followed by the initial planting of paddy rice as a symbol of continuity for the next planting season. Through this cross-sector collaboration, Harita Nickel hopes that the agricultural sector in South Halmahera will continue to grow, contribute to regional food security, and improve community welfare.

As industrial activities in the Obi Industrial Zone continue to develop, Harita Nickel reinforces its commitment to ensuring that the surrounding communities also benefit economically. Through various Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) programs, the company strives to deliver inclusive and sustainable growth.&nbsp;
This commitment has come to the attention of Telapak, an independent organization focused on environmental and social governance. Social observations were conducted in five villages around Harita Nickel's operations-Kawasi, Soligi, Buton, Akegula, and Gambaru-with a focus on social change, local economic strengthening, and community participation in empowerment programs. Telapak found that various Harita Nickel initiatives, especially those carried out in collaboration with women's groups and local MSME entrepreneurs, have opened up new business opportunities and improved family welfare.
Dickson Aritonang, Deputy Chairman of the Telapak Association, said that one example of success came from the Obi Jaya Mandiri MSME, a women's business group in Kawasi Village with 34 active members. "In 2019, the group's income reached Rp150 million per year. Support from Harita Nickel through the provision of a business location and business management training helped them build the Hopmart minimarket. Now, their turnover has increased to Rp1.3 billion per year," Dickson said.
In addition to the trade sector, initiatives in agriculture have also shown positive results. Telapak has recorded the success of a farmer group in Akegula Village led by Mama Nia. Through a partnership program with Harita Nickel, she and her farmer group are now able to produce up to six tons of vegetables and fruits every month. The entire harvest is absorbed by the company through a sustainable partnership scheme.

"Initially, people in Akegula were hesitant to farm because they were worried that the crops would not be sold. However, thanks to the support and guaranteed purchase from Harita Nickel, agriculture is now a promising source of income," said Mama Nia.

Dickson believes that Harita Nickel's approach to community empowerment is not merely charitable in nature but rather encourages long-term economic independence. “The social programs developed by Harita Nickel are not merely acts of charity to provide temporary assistance, but rather long-term efforts to strengthen the livelihoods of communities surrounding the mine in terms of economy, education, health, and culture,” he emphasized.

The health services facilitated by Harita Nickel provide care to more than 350 mothers and children every month. In the field of education, the company provides incentives to 89 educators and supports children's learning process through the Rumah Belajar Simore program. In terms of infrastructure, the company built the new Kawasi Village and the Akelamo Bridge connecting Kawasi Village with Soligi.
