Bogor, June 2, 2024 – Hundreds of IPB University students attended a public lecture on environmentally conscious mining given by PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL) or Harita Nickel, an integrated sustainable nickel mining and processing company operating on Obi Island, South Halmahera, North Maluku. This public lecture was part of the Harita Nickel Goes To Campus program held at the JH Hutasoit Auditorium, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, IPB University, Bogor, West Java, on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
Harita Nickel's Director of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE), Ir. Tonny Gultom IPU., ASEAN Eng., was the speaker at the public lecture, which took the form of a talk show with the theme "Mining the Future: Environmentally Friendly and Sustainable Nickel for Indonesia," moderated by IPB University's Land Resource Management Lecturer, Dr. Ir. Iskandar. Tonny Gultom was accompanied by Harita Nickel's Head of External Relations, Latif Supriadi; Green Mining Manager, Dr. Retno Dewi Handayani S. S.Hut., M.Si; Environmental Marine Manager, Windy Prayogo, S.Pi; and Head of IPB University's Research Laboratory of Excellence, Dr. Ir. Irdika Mansur, M.For.Sc.

The audience consisted of IPB University students from the Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, and the Faculty of Economics and Management.

During the event, Tonny Gultom stated that Harita Nickel adheres to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles in all its operations. From an environmental management perspective, Tonny highlighted various reclamation programs to restore the former mining area’s ecological functions.&nbsp;

“In addition to reclamation and revegetation, we also implement other forms of reclamation, such as utilizing former mining land for industrial purposes," Tonny said in front of hundreds of IPB University students.

Moreover, Harita Nickel has taken several measures to maintain the seawater quality in the Kawasi waters near the company's operations. These efforts include regular ecological monitoring, which assesses seawater quality and preserves marine life.

These activities include monitoring the health of coral reefs and other marine biota. One of the initiatives to preserve marine biodiversity is the installation of artificial coral reefs in the form of reef cubes in the waters around Kawasi. These artificial reefs serve as habitats for fish and marine biota to ensure biodiversity is maintained.

Regarding community empowerment, Latif Supriadi stated that Harita Nickel's presence on Obi Island has allowed the local community to grow together. Latif cited several economic development programs, such as the Movement for Independence and Strengthening Village Entrepreneurs (Gemar Papeda) and the development of rice paddies under the Sentra Ketahanan Pangan Obi (Sentani) program in Buton Village. These programs have fostered 65 local suppliers and 26 farmer groups and have created 691 jobs.

“The number of employees on Obi Island is approximately 30,000, consisting of 20,000 Harita Nickel employees and 10,000 contractors. To meet the food needs of our employees, we source supplies from local entrepreneurs, with the highest monthly transaction value reaching IDR 13.2 billion," Latif said.

Meanwhile, IPB University’s speaker, Irdika Mansur, highlighted the potential role of IPB University alums in the mining sector, including Harita Nickel. He says alums from all study programs are highly needed in the mining industry.

“The role of IPB alumni is highly needed in the mining sector, whether in community empowerment, forestry, or the rehabilitation and utilization of former mining lands, such as using former mining lands to cultivate rubber, cocoa, upland rice, and essential oil plants," Irdika explained.

Niko Bakri, a student in the Faculty of Forestry and Environment's Department of Silviculture, expressed positive impressions after attending the event. He admitted to gaining new insights about the mining industry.

“I gained a lot of new insights, realizing that the mining industry is not only for mining engineering students but also very open to students from the Faculty of Forestry, especially in reclamation and revegetation of former mining lands," Niko said.

Similarly, M. Faransani from the Faculty of Agriculture, majoring in Land Resource Management, said he attended the event out of curiosity about environmental management in the mining industry.

“I came to this event because I wanted to know how environmental management is conducted in the mining industry. As we know, the stigma around nickel mining is often negative. This event answered my questions about land reclamation and sustainability, providing new perspectives for me and other students," Faransani said.

Harita Nickel Goes to Campus at IPB University is a collaboration between Harita Nickel and the Student Executive Board (BEM) of IPB University's Faculty of Agriculture. Harita Nickel Goes to Campus is a series of activities held at various campuses in Indonesia to share and enrich students' knowledge about responsible and sustainable nickel mining and processing.

About Harita Nickel

PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (“TBP”) operates an integrated and sustainable nickel mining and processing on Obi Island, South Halmahera, North Maluku. Apart from having an IUP, since 2016, the Company, through its subsidiary entities, has had high-grade nickel ore (saprolite) smelters and low-grade nickel ore (limonite) processing refinery facilities since 2021 in the same operational area. These facilities are present to support the industrialization mandate of the Indonesian government. Harita Nickel is also a pioneer in Indonesia in processing and refining low-grade nickel ore (limonite) using High-Pressure Acid Leach technology. This technology is able to process limonite nickel which has not been used so far, into a product of strategic value, namely Mixed Hydroxide Precipitate (MHP). Harita Nickel Goes To Campus: Sharing Knowledge on Sustainable Mining with IPB University Students

South Halmahera, 19 December 2023 - South Halmahera Regent Hasan Ali Basam Kasuba conducted a working visit to Kawasi Village, a village surrounding<a href="https://tbpnickel.com/" target="_blank">Harita Nickel's</a> sustainable integrated nickel mining and downstream operations on Obi Island, North Maluku, on Monday-Tuesday, 18-19 December 2023. 
Addressing hundreds of residents, the Regent said Kawasi was the first village on Obi Island he visited after his inauguration as regent three days ago. On that occasion, he expressed his admiration for the development of Kawasi Village. He never imagined that the village, which was once deserted, has now become a center of mining industry and the largest nickel processing plant in Indonesia.
 
Furthermore, the Regent encouraged that the presence of industry can have a positive impact on local communities. According to him, industrial development is an opportunity for local people to welcome a better future.
 
To optimize these opportunities, the number one person in Halsel asked people to improve their <a href="https://tbpnickel.com/id/sustainability/human-rights/we-and-the-community/education-programs" target="_blank">education</a> quality. With the required competencies, he added, local residents can occupy strategic positions in the company.
 
"Because this industry is around us, we must be able to contribute. But we must have the competencies needed so that our contribution is taken into account. The way to do this is through improving education," he said.
 
The Regent also conveyed a message to Harita Nickel management representatives who attended in the gathering with residents. He requested that the company continue to pay attention to community needs in its operational area.
 
"We ask the management of Harita Nickel to always pay attention to local residents, especially how local people can get access to education, health and a better future," he concluded.
 
During his visit, the Regent who was present with his administration extended Christmas greetings and welcomed the New Year. He also distributed 500 food packages and Christmas gifts to the residents.
 
Kawasi Village Head, Arifin Saroa, said the Regent's visit to his village was a special momentum. The reason is, the Regent who was just inaugurated three days ago has taken the time to visit Kawasi village. 
"We also want to thank Harita Nickel for supporting the village government program, including helping the implementation of this activity," he said.
 
<h2>Visiting the New Kawasi Settlement
 </h2>
After meeting with residents, Regent Basam Kasuba continued his working visit to Harita Nickel's operational area which is also located in Kawasi Village. Accompanied by several agency heads, such as Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services (DPMPTSP) and Village Community Empowerment (DPMD), the regent directly inspected the new settlement area of Kawasi Village, on Tuesday (19/12/2023). 
<a href="https://tbpnickel.com/sustainability/human-rights/we-and-the-community/the-new-kawasi-settlement" target="_blank">The new settlement of Kawasi Village</a> is a local government program in collaboration with Harita Nickel to provide decent housing for local residents. The new settlement has been equipped with public facilities (fasum) such as village government offices, health service centers, school buildings, places of worship as well as access to clean water and 24-hour electricity.
After directly visiting the location, the regent expressed his appreciation to the company that has prepared housing and public facilities for the residents. According to him, its facilities are very complete and its condition is much more decent than the old settlement. The Regent also asked the company to immediately hand over the facilities to the local government so that all the facilities in the new settlement can be utilized by the residents.
 
" We will start moving public facilities such as village government services, schools, and health services here. Some have already been done, such as junior and senior high schools," he explained, witnessed by representatives of company management and the local village government.
 
For information, some residents of Kawasi Village have already moved into the new settlement. From 259 housing units that are ready for occupancy, at least 50 houses have been occupied by residents. Not only that, the village government has also started its office there. Since last September, learning activities for junior and senior high school students have also been moved to the new settlement.

3 Days inaugurated as Regent, Basam Kasuba visits Village around Harita Nickel Operations

Labuha, 30 October 2023 - PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL) or Harita Nickel, a sustainable integrated mining and downstream company, in cooperation with Youth Organizations (YO), conducted a beach clean-up activity at the Millennial MSME site in Tembal Village, South Bacan District, South Halmahera Regency, on Saturday (28/10/23) to commemorate the 95th Youth Pledge Day. 
The beach clean-up in Tembal Village was initiated by Harita Nickel's Non-Governmental Organizations Relations (NGR) Department under the theme "Spread Goodness", which means to leave a trail of goodness in every inch of the land you walk on. In this event, Harita Nickel's NGR Department involved 106 participants consisting of leaders and members from various NGOs or civil society organizations in South Halmahera Regency, such as Pemuda Pancasila (PP), Muhammadiyah Youth Association (IMM), Indonesian Christian Youth Movement (GAMKI), Indonesian Christian Students Movement (GMKI), Muslim Students Association (HMI), Indonesian Islamic Students Movement (PMII), Indonesian Muslim Students Unity Action (KAMMI), Indonesian National Students Movement (GMNI), and students from Alhairat Labuha.
Zulkifli Sangaji, Harita Nickel's South Halmahera NGR Supervisor, said in his speech that the beach clean-up was part of Harita Nickel's commitment to preserve the ecosystem and environment around the community, not only in the mining area but also in the capital of South Halmahera Regency.
"Today, we are cleaning the waste at the Millennial MSME site and also the coastline right behind the Millennial MSME site. Our main consideration in choosing this location is that Millennial MSME is a culinary tourism spot for the local community of South Halmahera as well as visitors from outside South Halmahera, so it is necessary for us to maintain its cleanliness. On this occasion, we also invite the community to work together to maintain cleanliness to create a good environment," Zulkifli said.
Zulkifli also added that the beach clean-up activity with youth organizations successfully collected about one ton of waste, which was then transported and distributed to waste disposal sites.
Samsul Abubakar, the head of the South Halmahera Environmental Department (DLH), who was also present at the beach clean-up, appreciated the steps taken by Harita Nickel.
"This is a very positive activity. We, as the South Halmahera Regency Government, thank Harita Nickel for participating in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of the environment around the community. This cooperation needs to be maintained and strengthened, and should involve more elements of the community," said the South Halmahera DLH chief.

Commemorating Youth Pledge Day, Harita Nickel and South Halmahera Youth Organization Clean Up the Beach

Ternate, October 5, 2023 - Sustainable integrated mining and downstream company PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL) or Harita Nickel officially handed over an ambulance to Khairun State University (Unkhair) in Ternate to help improve and accelerate public health services in the surrounding community. The handover ceremony took place in the courtyard of the Unkhair campus on Thursday (23/05/10) and was presented by the Head of Community Affairs at Harita Nickel, Latif Supriadi, to the Rector of Unkhair, Dr. M. Ridha Ajam, M.Hum. 
After handing over the ambulance, Harita Nickel's Head of Community Affairs, Latif Supriadi, stated that this aid was handed over to Unkhair as a form of the company's concern to fulfill Harita Nickel's commitment to Environmental and Social Responsibility (ESR) through the Community Development and Empowerment Program (CDE) in the field of health.
Harita Nickel's Head of Community Affairs, Latif Supriadi, said, "The handover of this aid is evidence of the strong synergy and support between Harita Nickel and Unkhair in the field of health. The addition of this state-of-the-art ambulance unit is expected to improve the accessibility and speed of health services to students and the community in need, especially in emergency situations."
Echoing Latif's sentiments, the Rector of Khairun University Ternate, Dr. M. Ridha Ajam, M.Hum. said, "This is Harita Nickel's commitment to the world of education, as currently Khairun University already has a Faculty of Medicine and also a clinic, namely the Unkhair Primary Clinic. Therefore, we hope that this ambulance will be able to serve the students and the community in need in the future," said the Vice Chancellor.
Considering the challenges faced by Unkhair in the past due to the limited number of ambulances, the former Vice Rector III of Unkhair also didn't forget to express his appreciation to Harita Nickel for the assistance provided by the ambulance.
Throughout the year 2023, Harita Nickel has also implemented other forms of ESR to support the improvement of healthcare services, including the donation of a sea ambulance unit to the Obi Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in March. All of these forms of social responsibility represent Harita Nickel's commitment to actively participate in and contribute to improving the well-being of the surrounding community.

SOUTH HALMAHERA, 29 June 2023&nbsp; – PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (NCKL), also known as Harita Nickel, distributed 31 cows and 3 goats in order to celebrate Eid al-Adha 1444 H / 2023 AD.&nbsp;
Head of Community Affairs Harita Nickel, Latif Supriadi said that distribution of sacrificial animals is routinely carried out every year as a manifestation of gratitude and concern for Harita Nickel to local communities around its operations.
"Through this Eid al-Adha celebration, it is hoped that people especially around the company's operations can directly benefit from Harita Nickel's operations and strengthen ties between company and community," said Latif, Thursday (29/6/2023&nbsp;

He explained, the entire sacrificial animal donation had been distributed prior to Eid al-Adha 1444 H which falls today, Thursday, June 29, 2023.&nbsp;
From a total of 34 sacrificial animals, most of them were distributed to villages around Harita Nickel's operations in Obi Island. A total of 18 villages across three sub-districts in Obi Island, each received one cow.
"The sacrificial animals were handed over directly to Imams as Islamic religious leaders in each village, witnessed by local village government officials," he explained.
Meanwhile, 16 other sacrificial animals were distributed to several areas, i.e.:&nbsp; Bacan Subdistrict in South Halmahera Regency, Ternate City in North Maluku and also around Harita Nickel's office in Jakarta.&nbsp;
Animal distribution was carried out by cooperating with a number of company partners, from government agencies, student organizations to media organizations. Some of the animals were also distributed through mosques and foundations.
Harita Nickel's concern for the community, especially in Obi Island, received appreciation from both government and local religious leaders.
Obi Sub-district Head, represented by Secretary Risno Tjia, in his speech on sacrificial animal ceremony in his area which was concentrated in Laiwui Village, expressed his gratitude to Harita Nickel. He encouraged that well established cooperation between company and community can continue to be improved.
"We thank you for the donation provided by Harita Nickel for all village communities in Obi Subdistrict. We hope this sacrificial animal donation can be useful for residents who are entitled to receive and need it," Risno said.
The same appreciation was also conveyed by the village government and religious leaders in South Obi Subdistrict. Gambaru Village Head, through Village Secretary Imanuel Sousa, said that sacrificial animal donation delivered by Harita Nickel is a manifestation of the company's concern for local people in Obi Island.
"On behalf of village government and the entire Gambaru village community, we support company operations. We hope that the company's presence will be able to support village government programs to improve people's welfare here," he said, agreed by Gambaru Village Imam, Guntur Flori.

Celebrate Eid al-Adha 1444 H, Harita Nickel Distribute 31 Cows and 3 Goats Qurbani

South Halmahera, 19 April 2023 - Harita Nickel held Ramadan 1444 Hijri safari in Obi Island, South Halmahera, North Maluku. The nickel mining and downstream company group, which listed its shares on the Indonesia Stock Exchange last week through its business entity PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk, distributed donations and Eid packages to hundreds residents in three sub-districts.
 
Department Head of Community Affairs Harita Nickel Latif Supriadi said the Ramadan safari is part of the company's annual Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) program. 
He explained that in this year's Ramadan safari event, the company organized various activities involving hundreds of residents in 14 villages spread across 3 sub-districts in Obi Island. These included breakfasting with residents and community leaders, giving donations to at least 520 orphans and 800 Eid gifts in the form of Eid packages to the elderly, widows/widowers and religious leaders. 
"Through this Ramadan Safari, we want to stay in touch and at the same time share happiness with the community, especially Muslims who are fasting during Ramadan and will soon celebrate Eid al-Fitr," he explained. 
From this activity, his party hopes to strengthen the company's relationship and togetherness with the community, which has been harmonious so far.
"All of this is nothing but our commitment to always be together with the community, religious leaders and all other stakeholders to work together to develop the region as well as contribute to the nation," he said.
In addition to Obi Island, Latif added, Harita Nickel in collaboration with a number of institutions also distributed more than 3 thousand Eid packages in Ternate City and Labuha, North Maluku.

 </h2>
Harita Nickel's Ramadan Safari received a warm welcome from various levels of society in Obi Island. Obi Sub-District Head, La Ali La Jarahiya, said the company-initiated activity had a positive impact on the community. We thank you very much for the company's cooperation that has been supporting government programs," he said, during the Ramadan safari in Laiwui Village, while mentioning Harita Nickel's contribution which has helped to build the Obi District office and handed over sea ambulance aid recently.
 
In addition to the government, appreciation is also presented by religious leaders. As expressed by Ustad Ali Zainal Abidin in his tausiyah during Ramadan safari at An Nur Mosque, Kawasi Village, Obi District. According to him, the company's assistance to orphans, the elderly and widows is very valuable, especially in the month of Ramadan.
 
"Different from gifts, the donation given to those who really need help is called sadaqah. For those who receive it, this support is very valuable," he explained.
 
Furthermore, he hopes that the positive activities done by the company can continue to be sustainable. According to him, orphans, in particular, have every right to get access to proper education for their future.
 
Wahid, an imam at the Nurul Islam mosque in Wayaloar Village, South Obi Subdistrict, expressed the same concern. According to him, the company's care for the underprivileged shows that Islamic teachings brought by the Prophet Muhammad SAW are not only verbalized, but also implemented by the company. 
"What Harita has done is in accordance with the teachings of the Prophet who really loves orphans and the poor. Not only from Muslims, Harita Nickel's Ramadan safari also received a positive response from other religious leaders. Jei Tomas Siwabessy, pastor of Eben Haezer Church in Wayaloar Village, said the iftar moment held by the company was a means to strengthen relations between religious believers.
 
"We at Eben Haezer church, as well as Anugerah church, are very happy to be able to gather with our Muslim brothers and sisters who are fasting during Ramadan. We must continue to maintain this kind of harmony for the sake of our common survival," he said.
 
<h2>Sharing Happiness
 </h2>
The Ramadan safari that was held from April 7 to 13, 2023 was quite draining. Beyond Kawasi Village, which is directly adjacent to Harita Nickel's operations, the company team divided into three groups visited other villages in three sub-districts using sea transportation. Each group spent the night in each village before continuing their journey to another village.

The crew's Sea Truck was full of boxes and sacks containing Eid gifts. The personnel, who were fasting, worked together to distribute the aid packages. On another occasion, the crew boarded a long boat under the scorching beach air in broad daylight to continue their safari to the next village. 
Apolinavis F Mbata, Community Relation Manager of Harita Nickel, said the donation was distributed to each resident based on data submitted by each local village government. He explained that the recipients are orphans, elderly, widows / widowers and religious leaders. 
"In this activity we thank the village government for making this activity run smoothly," he said. 
Furthermore, in addition to the Ramadan Safari, the company also conducts similar activities on the eve of other religious holidays such as Christmas celebrations for Christians. According to him, this religious holiday safari is a form of the company's concern for religious communities, as well as being conducted at other moments.

Interesting story told by Abu Bakar Sani, Community Relations Superintendent Harita Nickel. According to him, Ramadan Safari is a reflection of tolerance between religious communities.&nbsp; 
"If earlier delivered religious life in this village is very harmonious, as well as in our team. For example, Ms. Sheila, even though she is non-Muslim, she is the one who is the busiest in preparing this activity," he said during the Ramadan Safari activities in South Obi Sub-district.
 
Sheila Munthia Simamora was the one who coordinated the logistic distribution to South Obi Sub-District. Along with other crew members, Sheila admitted that she was happy despite having to travel from one village to another for several days.
 
"The religion that I believe in also teaches us to always spread love to all mankind. So, this activity is not just a professional duty, but also practicing the noble values taught by all religions," she said.

Safari Ramadan Around Obi Island, Harita Nickel Distributes Donations and Eid Gifts

Harita Nickel officially handed over the Obi sub-district office building that has completed its construction process to the Government of South Halmahera Regency. The handover ceremony was carried out by the Director of External Relations of PT Trimegah Bangun Persada (PT TBP) Stevi Thomas to the Regent of South Halmahera, Usman Sidik who also inaugurated the operation of the Obi Sub-district Office located in Laiwui, Obi Island, South Halmahera, on Sunday (5/3/2023). 
At the same time, Stevi Thomas also symbolically handed over the Sea Ambulance to the Regent of Halsel. This ambulance will be utilized for the needs of Obi-residents. In this inauguration ceremony, Stevi Thomas and Usman Sidik also signed an inscription. The inauguration ceremony was also attended by the Deputy Regent of South Halmahera, Hassan Ali Bassam Kasuba, elements of the South Halmahera Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda), and a number of members of the South Halmahera DPRD.
For the record, the groundbreaking for the construction of the Obi Sub-district office building covering an area of 543 square meters was carried out in August 2022 last year. Its construction was able to empower local residents by employing around 50 local workers and was carried out by local contractors with supervision from the South Halmahera Perkim Office.

Director of External Relations of PT TBP, Stevi Thomas stated that in about eight months of construction, finally, the Obi Sub-district office building was ready to be occupied. "Obi, with all its activities and people, has become an important aspect of Harita Nickel," said Stevi. The support of residents, as well as other stakeholders, especially from the local government, Stevi continued to be important for Harita Nickel in providing smooth operations.
 
"On behalf of all management and employees, we thank you for this, on that basis we are also present here today in the inauguration of the new Obi District office building," said Stevi. Stevi added construction of the Obi District office by Harita Nickel is a kind of Harita Nickel's support to the South Halmahera Regency Government in improving services to the community.
 
"Hopefully with the operation of the Obi Sub-district Office can support the performance of Obi Sub-district government in terms of administrative services to the community in Obi Island," said Stevi. 
Stevi also emphasized that the sea ambulance donation was handed over to help improve and speed up health services for Obi residents. This transportation facility is a complement to Harita Nickel's contribution to supporting health services on Obi Island.
 "These donations can be considered as our support for the Government of South Halmahera Regency in improving services to the community," said Stevi. 
Previously in November 2022, Harita Nickel also handed over one unit of a Fire Fighting fleet (Damkar) and one unit of a Garbage Collection truck fleet worth Rp 2 billion to the Government of South Halmahera Regency.

Stevi added that the Community Development Team of Harita Nickel with fostered farmers in Buton Village had conducted a rice harvest last week. Through the Obi Food Security Center (SENTANI) program, farmers have harvested twice with yields increasing 5 times compared to before. 
"This is a great thing to be grateful for amidst the global food crisis," said Stevi. 
The yield of harvested dry grain (GKP) from the rice harvest this time reached 5.3 tons per hectare from a total of 12 hectares of paddy fields. This yield increased sharply compared to the previous harvest prior to the company's assistance, which was only 1 ton of GKP per hectare. "We also foster 15 other farmer groups / BUMDES in the Obi island area with various agricultural commodity cultivation, and the results are partly marketed to the company," explained Stevi.
Support for the community certainly does not stop there. In addition to facilities and infrastructure, the company continues to provide assistance and support in terms of health, education, and other programs in the economic, infrastructure, and socio-cultural fields. 
Stevi asserted that the assistance and success of various kinds of Community Empowerment & Development (PPM) programs are certainly not due to Harita Nickel itself, but thanks to the support of various parties, especially good cooperation with the community and assistance from the South Halmahera Regency Government. "All of this, of course, can be realized thanks to the synergy with the local government for one goal, that is, the welfare of the community. For this, once again we thank you," said Stevi.
Meanwhile, South Halmahera Regent Usman Sidik expressed his gratitude to Harita Nickel for helping to build the Obi Sub-District Office and also providing a Sea Ambulance for the Obi Sub-District community. "Obi Sub-district Office is arguably the most luxurious sub-district office in North Maluku, for that representing the Halsel Regency Government and the community I would like to thank Harita, this is very extraordinary, all community concerns are always supported by Harita Nickel," Usman said.
Usman added that the Obi Sub-District Office will also be used as the second regent's office, in addition to the Regency Capital, so when visiting Obi he can set up an office. "I will make this Obi sub-district office as my second office when visiting Obi. I will instruct the Head of Assets to organize my furniture on the second floor of this office," Usman said.

Harita Nickel Officially Handed Over Obi Subdistrict Office and Sea Ambulance to South Halmahera Regent

Harita Nickel bersama Pemerintah Desa Soligi meresmikan&nbsp; Rumah Usaha Tangguh Ekonomi (RUTE) dalam rangka pengembangan dan pemberdayaan&nbsp; masyarakat bidang ekonomi di Desa Soligi, Kecamatan Obi Selatan, Halmahera Selatan,&nbsp; Sabtu (17/9). Program RUTE yang memberdayakan belasan ibu-ibu rumah tangga di tiga&nbsp; dusun di Desa Soligi saat ini berfokus pada optimalisasi komoditas kedelai untuk dijadikan&nbsp; komoditas tempe dan tahu yang ditargetkan bisa mensuplai setiap bulannya 80.000 potong&nbsp; tempe dan tahu untuk kebutuhan konsumsi karyawan Harita Nickel.&nbsp;
Latif Supriadi, Head of Community Affairs Harita Nickel menyatakan program RUTE akan&nbsp; menjadi sentra olahan pangan berbahan baku kedelai hulu-hilir pertama di Halmahera&nbsp; Selatan. Menurut Latif, RUTE memiliki potensi pemasaran yang sangat tinggi dengan pasar&nbsp; utama adalah perusahaan katering di lingkungan Harita Nickel.&nbsp;

Setiap bulannya, ungkap Latif, setidaknya ada dua vendor katering di Harita Nickel yakni PT&nbsp; GDSK dan PT Aden yang membutuhkan tahu dan tempe sekitar 80.000 potong. “Dengan&nbsp; kebutuhan sebanyak itu potensi keseluruan omset yang bisa diraih RUTE bisa mencapai Rp&nbsp; 330 Juta per bulan,” papar Latif.&nbsp;

Latif menyatakan kegiatan ini merupakan salah satu bentuk komitmen keberlanjutan dari&nbsp; Harita Nickel. “Sebelumnya Harita Nickel melakukan pendampingan serta penanaman&nbsp; perdana budidaya kedelai di lahan seluas 2 hektare pada 21 Juli 2022 lalu,” kata Latif. Latif&nbsp; mengungkapkan, saat ini ada 14 ibu rumah yang menjadi tim penggerak RUTE yang mewakili&nbsp; tiga dusun di Desa Soligi. Tagetnya setelah berproduksi sebanyak-banyaknya, program ini&nbsp; bisa melibatkan warga sesuai mekanisme RUTE.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Dukungan Harita Nickel untuk program pengembangan dan pemberdayaan masyarakat&nbsp; (PPM) ini adalah pembentukan dan penguatan kelembagaan, memberikan peralatan produksi&nbsp; tahu & tempe, pelatihan pembuatan tahu dan tempe, manajemen produksi dan akses pasar&nbsp; serta demplot budidaya tanaman kedelai.&nbsp;&nbsp;

“RUTE akan berfokus pada pengoptimalan komoditas kedelai, sehingga produk yang&nbsp; dihasilkan pun masih seputar olahan kedelai mulai dari tahu, tempe hingga susu,” papar Latif.&nbsp; \Hal ini, lanjut Latif didasari dengan kebutuhan pangan dari kedelai untuk konsumsi karyawan&nbsp; Harita Nickel yang cukup tinggi. Sementara untuk suplainya sendiri sejauh ini masih tergolong&nbsp;

terbatas. “Dan ini menjadi salah satu bagian strategi program One Village One Product (OVOP) yang dikembangkan Harita Nickel” terang Latif.&nbsp;

Sementara itu Rusman Baharudin, Koordinator RUTE menyampaikan bahwa pihaknya&nbsp; berterima kasih kepada pihak-pihak yang terlibat khususnya Harita Nikel, dengan adanya program RUTE yang saat ini menyentuh Desa Soligi. “Dengan adanya program RUTE ini&nbsp; masyarakat mendapatkan banyak hal positif terutama soal keterampilan dan kewirausahaan,”&nbsp; kata Rusman. Rusman berharap program RUTE bisa membawa perubahan yang signifikan&nbsp; untuk Desa Soligi dalam berbagai lini kehidupan dan bisa terus memberikan manfaat ke&nbsp; masyarakat desa.

Dalam acara peresmian RUTE tersebut, Harita Nickel juga turut menghadirkan perwakilan dari&nbsp; PT GDSK dan PT Aden, selaku vendor katering yang bekerja sama dengan perusahaan. Badri&nbsp; Bakhtiar perwakilan PT GDSK mengungkapkan bahwa saat ini kebutuhan bahan pangan tahu&nbsp; dan tempe yang diolah GDSK didatangkan dari luar Obi dan kualitasnya sudah tidak terlalu&nbsp; bagus ketika sampai di site. Bakhtiar berharap agar secepat mungkin bisa bekerja sama&nbsp; dengan RUTE dan kelompok RUTE diharapkan bisa memasok produk tahu dan tempe yang&nbsp; berkualitas bagus.&nbsp; 
Senada dengan Badri, Ronny, perwakilan dari PT ADEN mengungkapkan bahwa saat ini PT&nbsp; Aden membutuhkan tahu dan tempe yang semuanya didatangkan dari luar Pulau Obi. Menurut&nbsp; Ronny, PT Aden juga siap bekerja sama dengan kelompok RUTE untuk menerima pasokan&nbsp; kebutuhan tahu dan tempe setiap bulannya.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Head of External Relations Harita Nickel, Stevi Thomas menyatakan program PPM ini&nbsp; merupakan salah satu implementasi dan kepatuhan tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan&nbsp; terhadap kebijakan-kebijakan global seperti penerapan Sustanaible Development Goals (SDGs). Stevi mengungkapkan Harita Nickel berupaya untuk terus mendorong masyarakat&nbsp; sekitar operasional Harita Nickel dalam rangka peningkatan dan pengembangan ekonomi&nbsp; sehingga bisa meningkatkan tarap hidup ekonomi warga.&nbsp;&nbsp;

“Harita Nickel akan selalu mendukung penuh masyarakat melalui program PPM yang terarah&nbsp; dan untuk Program RUTE di Desa Soligi ini pendampingan dilakukan melalui peningkatan&nbsp; keterampilan serta pendampingan produksi sampai pemasaran produk,” tandas Stevi.

Harita Nickel Resmikan Rumah Usaha Tangguh Ekonomi (RUTE) Sentra Olahan  Kedelai di Desa Soligi

Harita Group melalui Harita Natural Disaster Relief (HNDR) kembali memberikan bantuan bagi korban gempa di Kabupaten Halmahera Selatan (Halsel) Provinsi Maluku Utara.

Setelah pada pertengahan Juli lalu HNDR menyalurkan bantuan sebesar Rp300 juta, kali ini bantuan yang diberikan pun bertambah dengan nilai Rp1,5 miliar. Dana tersebut diserahkan oleh Pemilik Harita Group Lim Gunawan dan diterima langsung oleh Bupati Halsel H. Bahrain Kasuba, M.Pd.

Pemberian bantuan sebagai wujud kepedulian ini berlangsung di Taman Budaya Saruma, Kecamatan Labuha, pada Rabu (28/8). Dalam kesempatan ini, Komandan Kodiklat TNI-AD Letjen A.M. Putranto, S.Sos. beserta Pangdam Pattimura Mayjen Dr. Marga Taufiq, SH., MH. juga hadir dan turut memberikan bantuan yang masing-masing berjumlah Rp100 juta. Hal tersebut menunjukkan jalinan sinergi yang baik antara pemerintah daerah, TNI serta pelaku usaha industri dalam upaya meringankan beban warga Halsel yang terdampak gempa.&nbsp;

Sebelumnya, bencana gempa bermagnitudo 7,2 yang terjadi pada Minggu (14/7) telah menimbulkan korban jiwa dan kerusakan pada rumah warga serta fasilitas umum. Hingga saat ini beberapa wilayah di Halsel pun belum sepenuhnya pulih. Oleh karena itulah Bupati Halsel Bahrain Kasuba mengucapkan apresiasi kepada pihak-pihak yang berkontribusi dalam proses pemulihan pascagempa. “Terima kasih juga kepada PT Harita atas bantuan yang kedua hari ini. Akan kita berikan kepada daerah yang terdampak gempa,” ujarnya. Bantuan dari Harita Group kali ini, menurutnya, adalah yang terbesar dibandingkan perusahaan lain.

Bahrain Kasuba menerangkan, selain ikut serta menjaga Halsel tetap kondusif ketika terjadi bencana alam, kehadiran Harita Group juga memberi dampak positif bagi pembangunan ekonomi di kabupaten ini. “Kami berterima kasih karena kehadiran PT Harita sangat membantu dengan prestasi, dan tentu pembangunan semakin maju dari apa yang sudah dihadirkan oleh perusahaan,” ungkapnya. Bupati juga menegaskan bahwa legalitas usaha Harita Group di Halsel jelas dan patuh pada peraturan perundangan yang berlaku. Selain itu, hadirnya Harita Group dinilainya telah memberikan dampak positif bagi perekonomian daerah dan penyerapan tenaga kerja.

Lim Gunawan selaku Pemilik Harita Group mengaku siap mendukung program Pemerintah Daerah Halsel, salah satunya dalam bentuk bantuan bagi korban gempa ini. “Kami berkomitmen untuk tetap bersinergi dengan Pemda Halsel untuk pengembangan daerah. Apabila membutuhkan dukungan pihak swasta dalam hal ini Harita Group, kami akan mempelajari kebutuhan tersebut dan memberikan dukungan. Pemda juga selama ini luar biasa dukungannya kepada kami,” jelasnya. Menurutnya pula, dari sinergi yang terjalin baik ini, Harita Group mampu menjadi salah satu penyumbang Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD) terbesar di Halsel.&nbsp;

Sementara itu, Pangdam Pattimura Mayjen Dr. Marga Taufiq menilai bantuan yang diberikan oleh Harita Group adalah hal yang baik, dan perlu juga dilakukan oleh perusahaan lainnya yang beroperasi di Halsel. “Semua harus membantu karena telah mengelola sumber daya dari Halmahera, bukan hanya Harita,” jelasnya. Pangdam juga mengatakan bahwa sikap saling dukung ini penting demi terciptanya keterjaminan usaha dan hubungan yang harmonis antara pelaku usaha, pemerintah, pihak keamanan serta masyarakat.

Melalui Harita Natural Disaster Relief, Harita Bantu Korban Gempa Halsel

Melalui Harita Natura Disaster Relief (HNDR), bantuan dana Harita Group sebesar Rp.300 juta diberikan untuk para korban gempa bumi di Kabupaten Halamahera Selatan, Provinsi Maluku Utara
Gempa bermagnitudo 7,2 yang terjadi pada Minggu (14/7) pukul 18.10 WIT itu, menurut keterangan Badan Nasional Penaanggulangan Bencana (BNPB), mengakibatkan enam orang meninggal dunia dan ribuan orang terpaksa mengungsi.

Badan Meteorologi, Klimatologi, dan Geofisika (BMKG) menginformasikan bahwa titik gempa berada di jarak 62 kilometer timur laut Labuha, dengan kedalaman 10 kilometer. Meski tidak berpotensi tsunami, gempa ini berakibat pada rusaknya hunian warga, gedung sekolah, rumah ibadah, poliklinik desa (polindes), serta fasilitas umum lainnya. Kerusakan tampak di beberapa daerah antara lain Kecamatan Gane Timur, Gane Barat Selatan, Gane Timur Selatan, Bacan Timur Selatan, Bacan Timur Tengah dan wilayah lain di Kabupaten Halmahera Selatan.&nbsp;

Sebagai wujud kepedulian sosial dan kemanusiaan, Harita Group menyerahkan bantuan untuk para korban gempa yang disalurkan melalui Pemerintah Kabupaten Halmahera Selatan. Dalam kegiatan penyerahan bantuan yang berlangsung pada Kamis (18/7) di Labuha tersebut, hadir pihak Manajemen Harita Group di antaranya Stevi Thomas, Beny Dictus dan Donald Hermanus selaku Direktur Utama PT Trimegah Bangun Persada yang merupakan perusahaan di bawah naungan Harita Group. Bantuan itu pun diterima langsung oleh Bupati Halmahera Selatan H. Bahrain Kasuba, M.Pd.

Donald Hermanus mengatakan, pemberian bantuan ini bertujuan meringankan beban para korban bencana alam gempa bumi. “Manajemen Harita Group juga ikut berbelasungkawa atas meninggalnya beberapa korban,” ujarnya. Ia pun menambahkan, HNDR didirikan oleh pemilik Harita Group untuk memberikan bantuan dan aksi tanggap darurat apabila terjadi bencana di berbagai wilayah Indonesia.

Pemberian bantuan berupa dana Rp300 juta ini pun mendapat apresiasi dari Bupati Halmahera Selatan. Ia berterima kasih kepada Harita Group yang dianggapnya begitu peduli terhadap masyarakat di Kabupaten Halmahera Selatan. “Sekali lagi terima kasih banyak kepada Harita Group yang jauh-jauh datang ke sini karena punya kepedulian terhadap kami. Mudah mudahan kerja sama antara kita tetap terjalin untuk kebaikan kita semua di daerah ini,” ungkap Bahrain Kasuba. Bantuan dari Harita Group ini, imbuhnya, semoga dapat sesegera mungkin memulihkan kondisi di Halmahera Selatan.&nbsp;

Sementara itu, Deputi Head Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and External Relation Harita Nickel Division, Alexander Lieman, mengungkapkan bahwa Harita Group juga bagian dari komunitas Halmahera Selatan. “Apa yang mengguncang Halsel juga mengguncang kami. Maka dari itu sudah selayaknya kami pun berkontribusi dalam membantu Pemerintah Daerah Halsel,” ungkapnya.&nbsp;
