Jakarta, November 11, 2025 — Harita Nickel’s ongoing commitment to responsible nickel mining and processing has once again earned national recognition. PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk (Harita Nickel) received two honors at the Indonesia Sustainable Synergy Awards 2025 and Indonesia SDGs Visionary Leader Awards 2025, organized by NNC and Plus Ide Komunika on November 10, 2025
“This recognition is a reflection of Harita Nickel’s continuous efforts to maintain a balance between mining operations, ecological restoration, and improving community well-being around our operational areas,” said Latif Supriadi, Head of External Relations at Harita Nickel, after receiving the award in Jakarta.
At the event, Harita Nickel received the Indonesia Sustainable Synergy Award 2025 in the category of Recovery of Ecological Function and Improving Community Well-Being. In addition, Roy Arman Arfandy, President Director of Harita Nickel, was named Top CEO in SDGs Change Maker for Resources Utilization, Efficiency, and Shared Value Creation at the Indonesia SDGs Visionary Leader Awards 2025.
The assessment process was conducted through three key stages: desk research, media monitoring, and expert panel evaluation. The desk research examined the company’s annual reports, financial statements, and sustainability report; media monitoring focused on positive exposure and consistency in communicating corporate social responsibility initiatives; and the final stage involved evaluation by an independent panel of experts in sustainability, environmental management, and socio-economic development. Through this comprehensive approach, Harita Nickel was recognized for demonstrating tangible and measurable impacts on ecological restoration and community well-being.

The awards highlight the company’s efforts to restore ecological functions through post-mining land rehabilitation and biodiversity conservation programs, while also empowering local communities through sustainable economic initiatives.
In 2024, Harita Nickel rehabilitated more than 600 hectares of watershed areas and revegetated over 230 hectares of post-mining land, planting a total of 22,870 tree seedlings across its operational sites. These reclamation activities were supported by the Loji Central Nursery, which currently has a production capacity of over 300,000 seedlings per year.
The company’s commitment to marine ecosystems is also reflected in its coastal and coral reef restoration programs. In 2024, Harita Nickel planted 3,775 mangrove seedlings and installed 175 artificial reef structures made from a mixture of nickel slag and fly ash to help restore marine ecosystems around Obi Island. These initiatives not only strengthen coastal protection but also create new habitats for marine life and support local fishermen by improving fish stocks.
On the social front, Harita Nickel continues to implement its Community Development and Empowerment Program (PPM), which focuses on education, healthcare, and local economic development. Throughout 2024, the company recorded 3,069 community engagement activities, achieving a community satisfaction index of 89 (Excellent) and a Social Return on Investment (SROI) value of 2.62.
