Jakarta, October 30, 2026 — PT Trimegah Bangun Persada Tbk, or Harita Nickel, an integrated nickel mining and processing company on Obi Island, South Halmahera, North Maluku, continues to prioritize operational efficiency, environmental management, and community development.

“Operational efficiency and sustainability are closely interconnected in running our business. We therefore continue to evaluate resource use, manage production costs, and maintain production continuity, while ensuring that environmental and social considerations remain part of our decision-making,” said Lukito Gozali, Head of Investor Relations at Harita Nickel, on Friday, October 30, 2026.

Harita Nickel has completed the construction of solar power facilities with a total capacity of 40 MW across several operational areas and employee residential facilities. Meanwhile, construction of a 50 MW power plant that utilizes excess steam from the sulfuric acid plant has reached 65% completion and is targeted for completion in the fourth quarter of 2026.

Harita Nickel has also developed the use of nickel slag, a by-product of the production process, as a soil amendment for post-mining land reclamation. In addition, the Company documents bird and fish biodiversity in and around its operational areas and develops educational materials in Indonesian and local languages about endemic wildlife to support biodiversity conservation.

“Environmental management is part of an ongoing process of improvement. We continue to evaluate resource use and refine our environmental management practices to suit the characteristics of the surrounding environment and our business activities,” said Lukito.

From an operational standpoint, during the first nine months of 2026, Harita Nickel recorded revenue of Rp26.87 trillion, with growth primarily driven by an increase in average selling prices. On the other hand, higher royalty payments and production costs remain challenges that the Company continues to manage carefully.

Community Empowerment Programs also continue to make progress, farmers participating in the Sentra Usaha Tani program in Buton Village recorded a major harvest, averaging 8.3 tonnes per hectare. The economic area in the new settlement of Kawasi, developed with the Company’s support, is also seeing increased activity. A total of 108 kiosks are now active, with the highest monthly transaction value reaching Rp962 million.

In addition to supporting local economic development, Harita Nickel is helping provide public facilities in Kawasi, including the development of a wet market to support local trading activities. Meanwhile, through PELITA Batch V, 11 participants completed training in air conditioner (AC) repair and maintenance, equipping them with technical skills relevant to local needs.

“We continue to support initiatives that address local needs, from agricultural development to technical skills training. We hope these programs will create opportunities for communities to develop their potential and build sustainable economic independence,” said Lukito.

As part of its commitment to responsible mining, Harita Nickel continues its audit process under the Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA). As of September 2026, the process remains at the Corrective Action Plan stage, with the audit results expected to be finalized by mid-2027.
