Employees are crucial assets for a company. Recognizing this, PT Halmahera Persada Lygend (HPL), one of Harita Nickel’s business units operating in Obi Island, constantly improves its services to its employees. One of the initiatives is the monthly celebration of employees' birthdays.
An Gui Ling, known as Aaron, General Affairs Supervisor and representative of the management initiating this activity, stated that the birthday celebration would become a regular monthly event.
“We hope that this event can serve as a platform for foreign and Indonesian employees to become closer and more familiar, just like a family,” he expressed.
The employees birthday celebration for January and February 2024 has occurred twice, with dates differing: January 20th and February 17th. All employees born in these months are invited to join the celebration.
Fajri Muliawan from the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Department, appreciated the company's attention to this occasion. He, along with colleagues and fellow January-born employees, enjoyed celebrating together.
“It's an interesting experience. Usually, birthdays are celebrated individually with close friends, but here we can celebrate together with other employees who were born in the same month,” said Fajri, who was born on January 28.
Employees' birthday celebrations on JanuaryThe birthday celebration event commenced with an opening speech by Rico Windy Albert, the Head of Technical Support at PT HPL. He expressed his appreciation to the management for initiating such activities. Through this initiative, Rico hopes to strengthen relationships among employees, foster a sense of ownership to increase productivity.
At the event, the company offered tasty foods and a big birthday cake for everyone. Attendees also enjoyed games and prize drawings.
